This may be a bit cheeky but i will ask anyway.I was a long standing member of the Martini flying club back in the eighties,I was wondering if they still exist and if so,where do they fly.I notice an ex Martini man is one of your members,Syd Champkin,I remember him very well due to the fact he badly sliced his nose with a propeller when the engine backfired and the prop came of,it was a hell of a mess.I will come and visit your site when the weather improves if thats ok.Hope you can help.
Regards,Richard.

Hi.
I was a member of the club in the days of Jim Fox and flying on the westwood. I am thinking of reterning to Rc flying, electric. Can you tell me if there is a model shop around Hull area stocking kits, balsa wood, radio and all the usual parts. I have been looking online but nothing is better than a local model shop.
Hope to visit the flying site once the weather improves.
Many thanks for any info. and advice.
Mike

It looks as if the club has made enormous strides since I was secretary in the 80's. The 'own-field' project was just a gleam in our eye then, and it's good to see that it has finally come to fruition. I've been flying F3F in S Wales recently. Regards to anyone in the club who may remember me.

Hey, Chris. How old are you, now? Pushing your use-by date, I shouldn't wonder. Get 'em out and dusted off. One of these days...soon.

Hello there. It's quite a while since I last visited your site.(the old one) The new site looks good.I may get chance to call in sometime soon. Am building a David Bryant Lysander 81" span and would like to pick some brains if I may. Nice website. Happy flying.
